About:

The Humane Society of Central Oregon fulfills two major needs in our local community: 1) Strengthening the human-animal bond by advocating and compassionately caring for animals, and 2) Creating a safe place by ensuring every unwanted or homeless pet has a place to go for shelter and care. Not only does HSCO work to place animals into loving families, they also provide accessible veterinary services to those who need it most.

Why HSCO:

HSCO connected us with our favorite little duck; Daphne came to us from an abusive home where she had never experienced safety or love. Now, she's the happiest kitty you've ever seen (even if she's a little unhinged) and we wouldn't trade her for the world. We thank HSCO every day for bringing Daphne into our lives.

About:

Each year, millions of children and their families receive medical care inside hospitals. For many, the process can be scary and isolating. During hospitalization, kids lose access to friends, school, and moments that typically define childhood. Gamers Outreach is an organization that builds and donates GO Karts (Gamers Outreach Karts). These portable video game kiosks are built specifically for hospitals and help to restore a sense of joy and normalcy in the lives of hospitalized children. 

Why Gamers Outreach:

If you know us at all, you know that we are gamers to the core. Gamers Outreach brings joy into children's lives by giving them a chance to play video games with their friends, forget about their illness for a while, and just be kids again.

According to the latest estimates, as many as nearly 14 million  children in the United States live in "food insecure" homes. That phrase may sound mild, but it means that those households don't have enough food for every family member to lead a healthy life. The No Kid Hungry campaign is making sure every kid gets three meals a day, 365 days a year with programs that target schools, summer vacations, and even individual homes.
